An established financial services organization is seeking a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist in Northern Virginia or Pensacola, FL to develop clear, user-friendly documentation and support SharePoint-based knowledge management initiatives. This role combines technical writing, content governance, and collaboration with enterprise teams to improve documentation quality and accessibility.

  • Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week in either Northern Virginia or Pensacola, FL


Responsibilities:



  • Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation such as user guides, SOPs, administrator guides, and process documents

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content

  • Design, administer, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, navigation, and metadata structures

  • Build and enhance SharePoint solutions using pages, lists, web parts, workflows, and integrations

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, validate content, and support knowledge management initiatives


Qualifications:



  • 10 years of experience in technical writing, documentation development, or knowledge management

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Experience supporting enterprise systems, applications, or technical teams

  • Strong technical writing, editing, and documentation skills

  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable content

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills
