Job description

Microelectronics Systems Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Microelectronics Systems Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture, cloud platforms, and microelectronics EDA tools to support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure design, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for critical network systems. Your knowledge of equipment, emerging technology, and hybrid environment configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization and guide our team of problem-solvers to help the DoW evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Using your experience you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on critical microelectronics projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security-related missions.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting network and security architectures within DoW hybrid environments

  • 10+ years of experience working with Linux operating systems

  • 5+ years of experience with modern electronic design and verification tools and techniques, including those used for simulation, emulation, formal, and prototyping

  • Experience in a DoW system administrator or system engineering role and supporting and operating DoW networks

  • Experience within DoW microelectronics and commercial and DoW cloud networks

  • Experience with product management

  • Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with senior leadership

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Linux or Cloud Certifications

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience managing product and working with a technology development team

  • Experience developing enterprise-level architectures

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network and security platforms

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
