Job Description:

CFD Research is seeking a talented Radar Analyst/Engineer to join a well-established team of analysts and software engineers that support prototyping, testing, and analysis efforts associated with tactical code development for the AN/TPY-2 and SBX radars. The candidate will work with real-time HWIL systems, tactical software & hardware of the AN/TPY-2 and SBX radars and perform prototyping, testing, analysis, and verification of tactical algorithms. Common tasks for this position include scenario design and development, analysis tool development, and application of new or existing tools to perform complex analysis on radar system performance. The candidate will enhance their understanding of critical radar functions including acquisition, tracking, discrimination, scheduling, advanced functions, and system-level interactions. The candidate may support a broad range of projects including MDA ground test performance analysis, post-flight reconstructions, and integration and risk-reduction efforts. The candidate will work in a dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and the development of creative solutions to challenging problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited institution
  • Mid and senior level experience candidates (2-10 years) will be considered
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering
  • Experience leading the development of complex analysis tools using MATLAB
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must possess an Active Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar operations
  • Experience with radar signal/detection injection HWIL systems
  • Proficient in modeling and data analysis using Python and/or similar tools
  • Experience with fire control systems and simulation frameworks

Location: This role is in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite with the customer.
