Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is hiring a Research and Development Engineer (CFD) in Dayton, OH. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph.
Responsibilities:
Apply deep technical knowledge of hypersonic aerothermodynamics and related modeling techniques to model, simulate, and analyze hypersonic systems.
Work in a dynamic R&D environment where innovation and collaboration are highly valued.
Use high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics CFD modeling applications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in DoW or IC programs.
Strong knowledge of hypersonic aerothermodynamic phenomenology.
Proficiency in using high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics CFD modeling applications.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Strong communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and departments, while also being self-sufficient when needed.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with coursework and/or research in the fields of hypersonic, physical gas dynamics, or numerical methods.
6+ years of relevant experience in the field.
Advanced experience in GEOINT processing research and development.
Extensive experience with academic, government, or commercial CFD tools and workflows.
Expertise in modeling and simulating advanced foreign weapon systems' aerodynamic performance and signatures.
Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. This posting will be renewed periodically until the position is filled.
