Job Overview

The Medical Information Manager serves as a central scientific resource within Medical Affairs, responsible for deliveringย accurate, balanced, and compliant medical information to internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the broader Medical Affairs team, this role owns the development and maintenance of standard medical response documents and the company's medical information repository, ensuring healthcare professionals, patients, and internal partners receive timely, evidence-based responses to medical inquiries about Sequel's products.ย 

This role also supports the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review of promotional and scientific materials and contributes to Medical Education initiatives, translating scientific evidence into clear, unbranded content for healthcare professional audiences. The Medical Information Manager safeguards scientific and regulatory integrity across all communications while helping Medical Affairs serve as a trusted resource across the organization.ย 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Medical inquiries:ย 

  • Respond to verbal and written medical inquiries from internal and external customersย ย 

  • Preview standard medical response letters andย revisesย orย developsย new letters as needed. Proactively develop medical response documents.ย 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:ย 

  • Work closely with the Medical Affairs team, including medical directors, scientists, and the Chief Medical Officer, to gather and verify information.ย 

  • Coordinate with the marketing and public relations teams to align medical communications with broader company messaging.ย 

  • Proofreading and Quality Control:ย 

  • Perform meticulous proofreading and editing of all medical content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency.ย 

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all publications meetย high standardsย of excellence.ย 

  • Promotional and Scientific Materials:ย 

  • Manage the preparation and submission of medical content to the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) and Scientific Material Review process.ย 

  • Perform medical accuracy review of promotional materialsย containingย medical contentย 

  • Ensure all contentย complies withย regulatory and company standards before submission.ย 

  • Track and manage feedback from reviewers and implement necessary revisions.ย 

  • Medical Inquiries Resource Development and Supportย

Minimum Requirements (Education and Experience):
  • Education:ย Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA, or equivalent).ย 

  • Experience:ย 5+ years of relevant industry experience in medical safety, pharmacovigilance, clinical research, or medical affairs.ย 

  • Experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry with exposure to post-market surveillance and safety reporting.ย 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Medical Information & Scientific Communication: Strong writing and editing skills to prepare medical response letters, scientific summaries, and HCP-facing content with accuracy and clarity.ย 

  • Strong understanding of diabetes management and familiarity with insulin pump therapy preferred.ย 

  • Medical Information Management: Experience developing andย maintainingย standard response documents, FAQs, and medical information repositories.ย 

  • MLR & Compliance Fluency: Familiarity with the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review process and standards for promotional and scientific materials.ย 

  • Data Interpretation & Statistical Literacy: Ability to interpret clinical and real-world data-including study endpoints, confidence intervals, and effect sizes-and communicate findings accurately to scientific and lay audiences.ย 

  • Medical Education Support: Ability to translate scientific evidence into clear, unbranded educational content for HCP audiences.ย 

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively across Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align messaging and ensure compliance.ย 

  • Quality & Compliance Focus: Commitment toย high standardsย of accuracy, regulatory compliance, and ethical practice in all deliverables.ย
