Optum Health Psychotherapy Pte. LTD. is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still actively engaging in a supportive team environment. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, psychiatrists, and addiction specialists, utilizing telehealth technology to interact with clients and to coordinate care effectively.

• Perform thorough assessments of clients to understand their individual needs, establish treatment goals, and develop tailored care plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that you utilize techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy during individual and group counseling sessions.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to share experiences and learn from one another.
• Respond to patients in crisis situations, providing immediate support and appropriate resources to help them navigate substance-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery options, and available community resources to encourage holistic healing.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring that clients’ records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Participate actively in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance your practice and contribute to the team’s collective knowledge.

You will be working primarily with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol and drug addiction. Your role will focus on empowering these clients with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful recovery, targeting diverse demographics and understanding the unique challenges that different populations face in overcoming addiction.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• A valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD within the state of Washington is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients compassionately and professionally.
• A solid understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

• Experience working within community health settings or in positions dedicated to substance use disorder treatment.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and online counseling methodologies is beneficial.
• A proven track record of developing individualized treatment plans and facilitating engaging therapy sessions.
