Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments of clients to understand their individual needs, establish treatment goals, and develop tailored care plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that you utilize techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy during individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Respond to patients in crisis situations, providing immediate support and appropriate resources to help them navigate substance-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery options, and available community resources to encourage holistic healing.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring that clientsโ€™ records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance your practice and contribute to the teamโ€™s collective knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol and drug addiction. Your role will focus on empowering these clients with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful recovery, targeting diverse demographics and understanding the unique challenges that different populations face in overcoming addiction.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • A valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD within the state of Washington is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients compassionately and professionally.
  • A solid understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within community health settings or in positions dedicated to substance use disorder treatment.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and online counseling methodologies is beneficial.
  • A proven track record of developing individualized treatment plans and facilitating engaging therapy sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
