Position Summary:
Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing. Responsibilities include:
  • Assigns accurate ICD diagnosis codes, using compliant documentation.
  • Assigns accurate CPT/HCPCS codes to records, using compliant documentation.
  • Applies knowledge of Coding Guidelines to select the appropriate diagnosis code.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Program in Discipline is required.
  • Certified Coder
