A well-established mechanical and building automation contractor is seeking a BAS Applications Engineer in the greater St. Louis area. This role is ideal for a controls engineering professional who enjoys designing, developing, and supporting innovative BAS solutions while working closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians.

Position Details:
  • Title: BAS Applications Engineer
  • Location: St. Louis, MO (Earth City area)
  • Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 (DOE) + Bonus
  • Schedule: Flexible start window (7 AM - 9 AM)
  • Travel: Occasional local site visits

Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer BAS systems for both new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Review HVAC drawings, mechanical specifications, and sequences of operation.
  • Prepare detailed submittals including control diagrams, schematics, equipment selections, valve and damper schedules, and programming logic.
  • Provide technical support, engineering documentation, and product research.
  • Assist with BAS integration and ensure all work aligns with design intent and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and consulting engineers throughout the design process.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while monitoring deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience as a BAS Applications Engineer or in a related BAS engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals and control system design.
  • Hands-on background with BAS platforms such as Distech, Trane, or Honeywell.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
