This is NOT a Computer Software Engineer position


Annual Salary: $95,000+ (DOE)

Plant/Work Location: 9333 Dielman Industrial Drive, St. Louis, MO 63132

Market/Value Stream: Electrical Transformers

Training: 3-6 months

We are currently seeking an Product Applications Engineer - Switchgear to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters located in St. Louis, MO.


Job Summary

The Product Applications Engineer is responsible for developing technical expertise within the Switchgear Market and obtains an understanding of customer applications to assist customers with engineered solutions and to support the development of new products for the market.


Job Duties

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders in how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements.
  • Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation.
  • Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with Switchgear or similar (Product Application Support or Design roles will be considered)
  • Ability to understand customer’s application requirements and translate that into understanding internal capability development.
  • Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements.

Preferred

  • Electrical, plastics, composites, aramid, cellulose or elastomeric experience.
  • Creating technical white papers and bulletins.
  • Creating technical marketing materials.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or French a plus.
