Materials Planner

The Opportunity
The materials planner works cross functionally with procurement, production, supply chain team members and other internal teams to ensure the right raw material supply plans are in place and executed as planned. This role requires a detail oriented, analytical, and proactive professional who can help drive decisions to drive important key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will report to the Material Planning Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure current business is delivered to customers on time.
    • Monitor stock positions, safety stock levels, and expiration risks for raw materials and finished goods.
    • Set safety stock levels
    • Work with Procurement to proactively identify and communicate potential risk materials, define recovery plans and drive action to resolve.
  • Partner with demand planning to deliver new business
    • Identify potential raw material issues based on new and updated demand forecasts
    • Define actions to mitigate risk & drive actions (including with partner functions) to manage
  • Partner with category management for seasonal raw material supply planning
  • Analyze, track and report out on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on time delivery to customer, inventory turns, and frequent problem materials.
  • Participate in projects to improve processes, service levels, efficiency, inventory, space, and cost.

The Skills you will bring to the team
  • Bachelor's degree in operations, business administration (operations focused), supply chain or similar degree is required.
  • Experience working within ERP systems is preferred, particularly SAP knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets, and identify trends to support operational decision-making.

Where and how you will work
The opportunity will be based on-site in Sharonville, OH with the opportunity to move to hybrid (4 days in the office) once training is complete (potentially after 1 year)
