Job description

  • Plan raw material, rework and pallet replenishment
  • Coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers and outside warehouses to the production facility
  • Support inventory control and physical inventory activities
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Establish and maintain inventory plans for raw materials, rework and packaging materials
  • Review MRP exception reports daily to identify potential material shortages
  • Initiate purchase requisitions for approved materials and schedule revisions to vendors as material requirements change
  • Provide inventory-related reports
  • Plan delivery locations for inbound raw materials and rework
  • Plan logistics to ensure timely delivery between outside warehouses and the production plant
  • Monitor and ensure warehouse deliveries are planned with the transportation provider
  • Prepare and perform physical inventory and cycle counts; reconcile as needed
  • Identify aged or obsolete raw materials and establish disposition plans
  • Lead materials management activities in Foil & Lamination operations
  • Monitor shelf life and expiration dates of relevant raw materials
  • Process manual material production and consumption postings in the ERP system
  • Track silo utilization
  • Support railcar/silo filling instructions and rail switch communications
  • Complete required PASA audits and drive continued safety awareness and practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of logistics/supply chain experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Prefer ERP (SAP) materials management experience
  • Computer proficiency on ERP systems with materials planning and inventory management processes
  • Computer proficiency with Excel for report generation and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ERP skills for problem solving and resolution techniques for MM transactions
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Initiative and ability to achieve results individually and in a multifunctional team environment
  • Commitment to task, process analysis and continuous improvement, and detail orientation
