Job description

Hiring Now for Materials Management Assistant at Cypress Surgery Center

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Training Courses in Materials Management with minimum of 2 yrs experience in Materials Management
  • Complies with safety standards, qualities in attention to detail, organization, accuracy, ability to meet deadlines, follows instructions, and low degree of supervision required.
  • Must have Surgical Technologist experience. 
  • Proficient in medical terminology and surgical instrumentation for all surgical procedures. 
  • BLS Cert upon hire
  • Clinical background knowledge as required by Facility and advantageous 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knows programs relevant to inventory management.
  • Participates in opportunities of continuing education. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone, in writing, and in person.
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication, including visual and auditory acuity for computers and telephone. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, vendors, and other health team members.
