Job Description

Summary
AV has an immediate opening for a Materials Management Analyst to support our Germantown, MD location. The analyst will be an integral member of the AV manufacturing team and will collaborate to create and maintain build schedules that execute on customer pricing, contract terms, and agreements. This position will be responsible for understanding and collaborating to maintain program inventory, production floor execution, final system shipments and mitigations of associated risks.
Position Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain program production schedules in collaboration with company master schedules
  • Serve as lead point of contact in the organization for prioritization, and scheduling of tasks associated with hardware procurement and build activity in conjunction with Engineering Leads, Program Leads, Quality personnel, Finance, internal or external manufacturing facilities as well as other elements within Engineering, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Understand and communicate material lead times and inventory risk
  • Work alongside functional support organizations to align procedures for continuity across multiple organizations and databases
  • Team with manufacturing engineers to understand and influence production build routing
  • Monitor procurement performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Monitor and analyze work in process and accurately provide current status using automated systems Identify and report problems and recommendations to ensure part availability
  • Coordinate raw material post processing schedules with outside businesses.
  • Analyze problems and resolve or reconcile discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
  • Coordinate with other functional groups to execute priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of business and/or programs experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined work experience (can include Graduate school experience) in functional areas of Supply Chain, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition laws and regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
  • Demonstrated expertise with a modern ERP system, similar to SAP or Oracle or similar experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance
  • Proven Experience with import and export laws (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)


Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • Expertise with Aegis FactoryLogix MES usage and operation.
  • Experience working with Unanet, Flowtrac, Arena, Microsoft 365, and Impromptu reporting.


Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer.
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)
  • May require travel to sites/program and special functions (10%)
  • May have some exposure to outside environment while traveling.

The salary range for this role is:

$74,000 - $113,000
