Job description

MLB Network seeks a motivated and analytical Business Growth Analyst & Project Manager in a new position to support strategic business growth planning initiatives while coordinating the flow of information, visibility and execution across content production projects with external and internal clients/departments. This dual-role position bridges business analysis, operations and project/client management, ensuring that company business growth and strategy is translated into well-executed production deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Analyst:
  • Assist in identifying new business growth opportunities across target markets and industry segments.
  • Research and analyze potential target clients, partners and markets aligned with company strategy.
  • Support development of target client lists, outreach strategies and opportunity pipelines.
  • Conduct opportunity analysis, including market size, revenue potential and competitive positioning.
  • Assist and prepare briefing materials, market intelligence reports and business development presentations.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating potential partnerships, collaborations and business expansion initiatives.
  • Aggregate and identify necessary data/information on internal and external resources/capabilities for business growth opportunities
  • Support and assist translating strategic objectives into actionable project plans.

Project Manager:
  • Track KPIs and report progress against strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the point of contact for external clients and internal departments on assigned production projects.
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication between internal departments and external clients.
  • Track project progress and client deliverables and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify potential issues, risks or delays and help coordinate solutions with internal departments and clients.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with agreed timelines, quality standards and client expectations.
  • Maintain project documentation including timelines, deliverables and status reports.

General
  • Work closely with internal departments including Business/Legal Affairs, Finance, Production, Operations and Marketing teams to execute initiatives and client servicing.
  • Facilitate communication between leadership, internal departments and external clients.
  • Support continuous improvement of project workflows and production processes.
  • Other such duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, operations or project management in the field of content production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and presentation tools.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors/clients.
  • Knowledge of content production workflows.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as schedules require.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations or related field with top academic credentials and references.

Position Reports to:
  • SVP, Head of Business Growth & Legal

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB Network considers relevant to the hiring decision.
