Job description

The Senior Manager will be a key member of the Club & Labor Finance department that focuses on overall League economics incorporating Club financials. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the analysis, financial modeling, and synthesis of Club financial information used for leaguewide economic analysis, club benchmarking, and calculating player cost in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA").
Responsibilities:
  • Consolidate, review, and analyze Club financials to be used for executive presentations, benchmarking, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Prepare variance reports supporting National revenue projection updates and assist with National reporting audit areas.
  • Lead financial analysis and modeling of stadium renovation projects, with a focus on leaguewide benchmarking capabilities and the impact to CBA economics.
  • Calculate the Salary Cap through oversight of Club financial reporting processes and creation of deliverables for the NFLPA and senior management.
  • Maintain master financial models and databases that project Club financials and calculate CBA economics.
  • Collaborate with other League departments (Club Business Development, Management Council) to support League's strategic initiatives.
  • Lead preparation for annual negotiation meeting with NFLPA regarding key All Revenue ("AR") items for discussion between the parties.
  • Facilitate NFLPA's audits of multiple Clubs each year and review contracts for their impact on Player Costs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the 32 Club CFOs and their staffs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 6-10+ years of work experience relating to FP&A, forecasting, or corporate finance
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to analyze from both a micro level and macro level
  • Experience with financial models, databases, or business intelligence tools
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large volumes of information
  • High level of organizational ethics, integrity, compliance and adherence to confidentiality
  • Desire to learn unique economic system specific to the NFL

Travel:
  • ~10% per year

Terms /Expected Hours of Work:
  • NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office.
