Job description

As a Materials Management Workleader, you are integral to helping facilitate Cleveland Clinic's mission of providing state-of-the-art healthcare. You will serve as the work leader while performing various duties to support the department. You will also coordinate resources for daily assignments and work schedules.

A caregiver in this position works from 7:00AM - 3:30PM. Every other weekend and rotating holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Coordinate work schedules to provide coverage for employee paid time off and key activities.

  • Departmental workflow and desk coverage for an assigned area.

  • Supervise the department functioning and resources in the absence of the manager.

  • Manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels of products.

  • Meets inventory goals by managing tracking systems and acting as liaison to other departments.

  • Analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.

  • Monitor all areas to ensure product is being rotated first-in, first-out and expiring product is removed in a timely manner.

  • Count and verify products in inventory and report discrepancies to upper management as necessary.

  • Administer return shipments of products in case of any shortages and damages and communicate same to vendor.

  • Participate on project teams to build competency, provide training, recommend improved processes and maintain documented processes and procedures.

  • Assist the Site Manager/Supervisor with dashboard maintenance and compliance.

  • Functions as a super user with regard to all SCM systems.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent

  • 3 years of experience in materials management, inventory operations or similar role

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Previous leadership or experience providing work direction

  • Strong computer skills and experience with inventory tracking systems

Physical Requirements:

  • A high degree of dexterity, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $18.88

Maximum hourly: $28.80
