Job Description
The Mill Materials Management Intern provides administrative and project support to the Logistics and Scrap Metal Procurement teams, with a focus on maintaining records, supporting compliance activities, and assisting with seasonal projects.
Salary: $17.00 an hour
Responsibilities
The Mill Materials Management Intern will:
โ€ข Review and organize files to ensure accuracy and completeness
โ€ข Assist with data verification and filing, ensuring compliance with federal requirements
โ€ข Maintain and update electronic records
โ€ข Support logistics and scrap metal procurement teams
โ€ข Assist with data entry and tracking in systems and spreadsheets
โ€ข Participate in special projects during the summer (e.g., file audits, record cleanup, process improvements)
โ€ข Provide general administrative support
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
โ€ข High school graduate or currently enrolled in college (freshman or sophomore preferred), with interest in Supply Chain Management or similar industry
โ€ข Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Copilot)
โ€ข Strong attention to detail
โ€ข Good organizational skills and ability to manage simple tasks independently
โ€ข Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
โ€ข Clear verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
