Job description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to support financial operations for a real estate-focused organization in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, organizing critical financial documentation, and providing insight through planning and analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting leadership, hands-on document management capabilities, and practical experience working with NetSuite in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee core accounting and controllership activities to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.
• Manage the collection, review, and organization of financial records, keeping documentation complete, accessible, and audit-ready.
• Coordinate document imaging efforts by scanning, indexing, and maintaining important files in an orderly recordkeeping system.
• Compile supporting materials for financial reviews, reporting cycles, and compliance needs across accounting functions.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and broader FP& A support that informs business decisions.
• Utilize NetSuite to monitor transactions, maintain financial data integrity, and support day-to-day accounting operations.
• Contribute financial oversight and reporting support within a real estate environment, including documentation tied to property-related activity.
• Assist with process improvements involving financial records and reporting workflows, including documentation updates when operational changes occur.• Proven experience serving in a Controller or senior accounting leadership capacity.
• Background in real estate accounting or finance environments.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
• Working knowledge of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong skills in document control, file organization, and records management.
• Experience scanning, indexing, and compiling business or financial documentation.
