Job description

ZimZee Recruiting is looking for a Material Control Clerk to support inventory management and material flow operations for a manufacturing and repair environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, pulling and kitting parts, stocking materials, performing cycle counts, and issuing parts to technicians. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy while working in a fast-paced warehouse and production support setting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials are available when needed to support manufacturing, repair, and customer delivery requirements.


Skills and Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in counting and inventory transactions
  • Ability to manage inventory control activities, including stocking, issuing, and tracking materials
  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs) and inventory documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, warehousing, or material handling preferred


Key Responsibilities

  • Pull, kit, and stage parts for manufacturing and repair operations according to production requirements
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits
  • Issue materials and components to technicians and production personnel through a will-call or parts distribution process
  • Receive, label, stock, and organize inventory in designated warehouse and storage locations
  • Enter inventory data and serial number information accurately into the ERP system
  • Pick finished goods and components based on customer and production order requirements
  • Deliver materials and parts throughout the facility to support manufacturing, inspection, and other operational departments
