Job description

Position Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, material transactions, cycle counting, receiving verification, and inventory record maintenance within the warehouse operation. This role helps ensure inventory integrity through accurate data entry, transaction processing, physical inventory verification, and coordination with warehouse and operations personnel.
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting material availability, and ensuring inventory records are current, accurate, and aligned with operational requirements.
Essential Job Functions
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
  • Investigate and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transaction errors.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately within company ERP, inventory management, or warehouse systems.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor inventory locations and assist with inventory organization and material identification.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities through transaction processing and inventory verification.
  • Generate, review, and maintain inventory reports, records, and transaction logs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, operations, and customer service personnel to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and year-end inventory activities.
  • Follow established inventory control procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications
