Job description

Summary  

Marriott International is seeking a Manager, Data Analysis, to join our Procurement Operations team. Procurement Operations is responsible for leading core functions such as governance, vendor support, technology, reporting, and management of revenues and receivables.  

The Manager helps drive business development by analyzing procurement and market data to generate actionable insights for Procurement teams including Sourcing, Procurement Services Sales and Operations. They evaluate & report on pricing trends, product substitutes, supplier performance, and market dynamics to influence strategic sourcing decisions to help drive revenue growth. 

Required Experiences: 

  • 4- yearbachelor'sdegree from an accredited university in related fieldappropriate towork position 
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales support, and/or data analysis 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

Preferred Experiences: 

  • Familiarity managing third party vendor relationships  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for the procurement team by using dashboards, and data visualization tools  
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets and interpret the data to help the company make better business decisions 
  • Present findings to key stakeholders, including leaders at the VP+ level 
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality 
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency of data reports and presentations 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies
