Job description

The Courtyard by Marriott has an immediate opening for a Front Desk Supervisor. The position is full-time and responsibilities include but not limited to handling shift operations, guest interactions, training new staff, working shifts as needed, and maintaining the schedule based on occupancy. Other areas include overseeing the market, auditing guest awards, and maintaining guest satisfaction surveys. We are seeking a person who has great interpersonal and management skills, has a heart for hospitality, and will create a strong front desk team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and register guests, manage reservations, and daily arrivals.
  • Be knowledgeable about the area.
  • Oversee all shift-related duties and operations.
  • Generate daily reports for Courtyard Marriott operations.
  • Manage guest reservations received via fax or email in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Address guest concerns and escalate to the GM when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the GM.
  • Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance.
  • Fulfill other tasks as assigned to support overall team success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hotel experience is required and customer service experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and manage others.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Knowledge of the local area is helpful.
  • Ability to cover shifts as needed. 
  • Comfortable assisting promoting the hotel as a member of the team.
