The main object of this position is to research and study market conditions, technology trends and other indicators to derive actionable insights and recommendations for key stakeholders to support strategic decisions that maximize sales, volume growth and prots.

This position is responsible for Airgas market analysis and for ad-hoc evaluations of new business ventures in collaboration with the other commercial groups and regional opportunities.

Strategic Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Market Research: Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository of current and trending information from publications, webinars, databases, and SME interviews to aid in strategic planning.

  • Competitive Analysis: Gather competitive data, analyze financial statements, and review annual reports to build robust market and opportunity studies.

  • Industry Deep-Dives: Collect, analyze, and map cross-functional data to create national market studies in key sectors including healthcare, life sciences, advanced fabrication, and manufacturing.

  • Intelligence Distribution: Support a standardized enterprise-wide process to share insights. Curate and distribute newsletters, flash updates, and executive summaries. Utilize media monitoring and competitive intelligence platforms tools to identify new opportunities.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Insight Generation: Analyze multi-source data to uncover insights on market segments, opportunity sizing, audience preferences, and buying habits. Identify recurring themes, trends, or anomalies and translate them into actionable business narratives.

  • Standardized Reporting: Build and maintain standardized reporting, dashboards, and performance tracking (Power BI, Salesforce, SAP) to measure marketing and business development success metrics.

  • Presentations: Share findings and data-driven recommendations through clear reporting and presentations with management and key business stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Campaign Support

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with Division/Region management, Financial Planning, Business Development, and Product Line Management to develop actionable plans based on market insights.

  • Marketing Support: Partner with the Lead Generation Manager and Marketing Communications to support campaigns across various channels, helping to ensure the highest possible ROI.

Technology & Innovation

  • Tool Optimization: Identify and leverage tools and technologies-including AI (Gemini), Python scripts, and data science methodologies-to enhance our databases and current intelligence processes within the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Solution Roll-outs: Serve as a key player in rolling out new intelligence solutions. Collaborate with R&D, Data Science, and IT Product Managers to implement best practices and keep the organization at the forefront of market intel technology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or business intelligence.

  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency within the Salesforce ecosystem.

    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/BW).

    • Advanced data visualization skills (Power BI or Tableau).

    • Familiarity with AI tools (Gemini) and programming languages (Python).

  • Core Competencies: Strong foundational knowledge of business, research, finance, and sales/marketing principles. Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an asset.

  • English required, French added value

  • Google Scripting or Python or coding highly preferred
