Summary of Role:

Woodward's Aerospace Marketing Analysis Manager II reports to and supports the Manager, Marketing Analysis to provide the Sales and Marketing Department with analysis of both OEM and Services sales and comparison to market and peers, market trends analysis and identification of growth opportunities, and assessment of market news and its impact on Woodward Aerospace. The individual will be expected to develop familiarity and expertise in all aerospace and defense markets, including commercial aircraft, business jets and turboprops, helicopters, fighter jets, bombers and specialty aircraft. Data is collected and analyzed to support monthly and long-term forecasts for OEM production and services demand. The group's annual Market Demand and Assumptions document is presented to the segment president and C suite in support of the strategic plan. A major deliverable is a quarterly market analysis of aerospace segment sales versus the market, presented to Investor Relations and the CFO in preparation for the quarterly results call. The individual will develop a broad network of aerospace industry contacts in order to remain current with events and trends, and to develop their assessments of impacts on Woodward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Analytical Models: Creates and maintains statistical models to evaluate marketing/industry performance, forecast trends, and drive 10-year forecast.
  • Capture and curate relevant industry news to various stakeholders
  • Identify market opportunities through research focusing on Woodward's distinctive competence, market problems, competitive analysis and win/loss analysis.
  • Provide input to Strategic Planning process related to new markets and products.
  • Mentor Junior Analysts: Provides guidance and support to less experienced team members in marketing analysis methodologies and best practices.
