Job description

This is not just a leadership role - it is an opportunity to build a banking franchise in the Lehigh Valley with lasting impact. As Market President, you will lead DLP Bank's growth in a market deeply connected to our story, driving loans, deposits, fee-based revenue, and community presence while recruiting and leading a top-flight team. You will serve as the senior leader for the market, responsible for business development, client relationships, market profitability, and operational excellence, while building the momentum needed to open a full-service branch within the next 2-3 years. Backed by deep roots in the region - including a shareholder of the holding company, who was born and raised in the area, and went on to build DLP Capital, a high-growth company founded in Bethlehem, PA - this role offers the chance to combine market leadership, entrepreneurial building, and a mission of transforming lives by the building of thriving communities.
What you have already achieved: (Requirements)
  • 8-10 years of commercial banking and/or bank leadership experience, including foundational or preparatory roles.
  • Consistently generated significant new loan and deposit business each year, maintain a sizeable portfolio of relationships you manage directly, with producing manager experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate producers, relationship managers, and senior-level internal and external stakeholders, requiring a high degree of credibility, trust, and professional judgment.
  • Proven success in securing alignment on key initiatives through complex, senior-level discussions, supported by strong written communication skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements, along with advanced analytical, underwriting, and credit risk assessment expertise.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and proactively drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, copiers, and calculators.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods (6-8 hours per day as needed).
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required by business needs.

  • Manage market performance with strong financial discipline, balancing revenue growth, expense management, and efficiency.
  • Monitor market results and take action when performance is off track.
  • Support market budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes as needed.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the branch or market.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to develop future leaders within the bank.
  • Build a culture of internal excellence at all levels, influencing through positive leadership behaviors.
  • Establish and maintain a sound organizational structure that supports business growth, clear accountability, and strong team collaboration.
  • Foster a climate of customer focus and maintain meaningful client contact.
  • Ensure the loan production office delivers customer-centric service and strong relationship management.
  • Represent DLP Bank in the local market and strengthen the bank's brand and reputation through active community engagement.
  • Ensure branch operations are conducted in compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure a strong risk, compliance, and governance framework is embedded across the branch.
  • Identify strategic and operational risks, ensure mitigation strategies are in place, and take action to minimize potential impact.
  • Ensure strong follow-up and discipline across operational, credit, and compliance matters.
