At Falcon National Bank, we are passionate about helping our customers and the communities where we live and work. We are looking for a Market President to join our Ham Lake location.

Job Overview

The Market President position serves as the voice and face of the bank in the local market. The Market President is responsible for new commercial loan generation, along with managing a commercial loan portfolio. The Market President is responsible for oversight and management of their market branch. In addition, the Market President will assist in attaining established bank goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs, providing leadership, training, and support to all at their location.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Business Bankers and branch teams to ensure strong performance, operational excellence, and consistently high-quality customer experience.
  • Support retail and commercial service standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of all reasonable requests.
  • Partner with the Director of Retail and Retail Supervisors to drive market growth in alignment with Falcon National Bank policies and goals.
  • Establish sales goals, track performance, and maintain effective communication across the Bank and branch locations.
  • Represent the Bank with major customers, community partners, shareholders, and the public, actively participating in community and civic functions to strengthen market presence.
  • Serve on internal committees as needed, and coordinate advisory board meetings, including recruiting new members to ensure broad community representation.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training employees while identifying ongoing development needs.
  • Oversee building functionality, safety, and vendor management to maintain a secure and efficient branch environment.
  • Support deposit growth through product knowledge, customer engagement, and identification of training opportunities.
  • Manage commercial lending activities, including prospecting and developing new business, assessing creditworthiness, and structuring customized loan solutions that meet client needs while complying with bank policies and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, deep understanding of business goals, and consistent, professional service.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient loan processing and seamless customer experience.
  • Conduct market research, monitor loan performance, and apply risk management strategies to maintain portfolio quality.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and credit risk management best practices.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field required; 5+ years management experience required; 8+ years commercial lending experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales success, leadership capability, and strong knowledge of state and federal banking regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and develop clear reports.
  • Effective conflict management, delegation, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Proven leadership in motivating teams, communicating clearly, and presenting in group settings.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with flexibility to ensure branch coverage.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Self‑motivated, able to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and bank software systems.
