Responsibilities

An effective Market President is capable of driving a best in class customer experience for customers and teammates in Sales, Service, Operations, Relationship Management, Credit Quality, and Leadership/Development to ensure the market achieves budget net income through growth in loans, deposits, and income.

    Carry out the Bank's vision and mission
  • Maintain our Bank culture with the defined set of values and behaviors that all employees use as their compass as one team going to market as one bank
  • Achieve best in class customer experience through the management of service behaviors and routines
  • Implement bank strategies and objectives for the offices consistent with and in support of the associated Bank goals and objectives for growth, net income, expense management, and the financial performance of the market
  • Recruit and develop top talent to drive external growth for the market
  • Plan, direct, and control banking activities of Corporate Banking, Commercial, Private, and Retail Banking branches in a specific market area in conjunction with the Bank's overall goals and strategic objectives
  • Establish and manage a business development process to maintain current customer base and expand market share to include fee based products like treasury and wealth services; ensure customer and organic growth
  • Achieve strong financial performance through a disciplined management of credit quality through pricing, collection, and maintenance
  • Originate commercial loans, commercial deposits, and consumer related products
  • Manage personnel activities which include hiring, training, salary administration, personnel reviews, and branch office objectives and performance, to ensure solid team efforts toward attainment of individual and Bank goals; ensure a culture of accountability that includes coaching and development of a high performing team
  • Oversee the first line of defense as it relates to compliance, operational risk, and enterprise risk management
  • Create a culture of operational excellence compliant with regional and corporate objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field or equivalent training and certification through an accredited banking school required
  • Minimum of 7 years of Retail Banking experience leading service, sales, and operations
  • Extensive knowledge of industry products, policies and procedures, operations, and compliance regulations
  • Highly developed leadership and sales management ability in order to lead and develop world-class sales force in a highly dynamic business and economic environment
  • Results-oriented and strong ability to deliver to aggressive financial and business growth targets and strategic initiatives
  • Solid understanding of operational, regulatory, risk management requirements and controls as it relates to retail banking systems and process and the Community Reinvestment Act
  • Knowledge of strategic, business and financial planning processes, market, and organizational knowledge
  • Proven managerial leadership, ability to lead and develop a team of professionals, and prioritize effectively, including retail branches
  • Sound judgment and problem solving and ability to make key complex decisions independently and with clear thinking and sound logic
  • Proven track record in recruiting and developing top talent
