Job description

Overview
Reports to: Vice President, Business Banking
Functions Supervised: Business and Commercial Banking, Pacific Northwest.
Primary Functions: Responsible for direct supervision of the Pacific Northwest business banking officer staff to ensure loan quality and production standards of the department are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with business members and prospective business members to promote the credit union's commercial deposit services and solicit new business.
  2. Interview prospective members and request necessary information to process deposit product requests.
  3. Analyze applicant's depository and cash management needs.
  4. Negotiate deposit and cash management needs with prospective members, including fees, rates and any other applicable terms.
  5. Ensure timely execution of the credit union's business plan as it applies to assigned areas of responsibility.
  6. Assist business and commercial banking staff with pricing, structure and compliance of deposit and cash management requests from existing and perspective credit union business members.
  7. Monitor, coordinate and assist in business banking officer calling activities to ensure effective and documented prospecting of existing and new business members is consistent with the credit union's business strategy.
  8. Provide training and support on cash management products and services.
  9. Ensure business banking staff promotes and cross-sell other products and services as appropriate.
  10. Participate in the credit union's business development activities, represent the credit union in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc.
  11. Stay abreast of local market conditions, competition, pricing and communicate changes and recommendations to VP of Business and Banking.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management with advances industry courses in commercial banking.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Seven years' commercial banking experience with at least one year experience in management.
Experience/Skills: Minimum seven years of commercial banking and one year management experience. Strong sales skills with proven ability to develop commercial deposit business. Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, banking related reports, statements and legal documents. Ability to lead and develop business and commercial banking sales team of various skill sets, and respond to inquiries or issues from members, or business community participants.

Compensation
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.

$109,361 - $191,554 annually
