Job Summary

We are looking for a Bank Manager to join our downtown Chickasha team. The Bank Manager plays a key role in leading a diverse team of bankers within a full-service bank environment who are focused on providing excellent service to our customers.

The Bank Manager is focused on improving the success of their location, which contributes to the overall success of the bank. This position requires an adaptable leader who can balance daily tasks and activities with responsibility for staff development and revenue growth.

Essential Functions

Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop employees to achieve individual, department and bank performance goals.
  • Regularly provide employee coaching and feedback while holding the team accountable to performance goals
  • Manage employees’ work schedules, monitor overtime, and assign tasks as needed
  • Train and supervise employees to ensure operational, sales & service, and professional development
  • Manage bank location expenses
  • Ensure employees adhere to all bank policies and procedures
  • Participate in community events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and community leaders
  • Model a culture of positive employee morale and ownership and
  • Model and foster a customer-focused culture
  • Guides, mentors, and builds a cohesive team while fostering a highly positive and productive workplace environment.
  • Resolve customer complaints and questions
  • Support the implementation of a bank wide performance and development process

Operations

  • Responsible for operational excellence and soundness of bank location
  • Prepare team and location for annual regulatory audits
  • Partner with communication team to maximize community impact
  • Guide employees in escalated or difficult workplace situations
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements as needed

Sales & Service

  • Greet customers and facilitate a welcoming and customer-focused environment
  • Process routine customer transactions as well as assist employees with more complex transactions
  • Resolve complex customer concerns and escalations
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional bank products and services
  • Respond to customer needs to create positive solutions
  • Generate non-interest income
  • Grow market share in both deposits and loans

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven knowledge of banking products and services as well as standard banking procedures and regulations
  • Selfstarter and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present information professionally and clearly
  • Careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and high integrity

Training consists of a combination of in-person instruction and hands-on practice in our Learning Lab, observation within a bank location and completion of online training courses. Incumbent must successfully complete teller training prior to being assigned to operate a teller drawer.

Other Requirements

  • Must reside in Oklahoma and pass a background and credit check
  • This is an in-person position, and it is critical to remain available to team members during business hours
  • May have regular local travel to other locations for meetings, training opportunities and bank events
  • Must be available to work one Saturday each month and willing to work additional Saturdays when necessary
