About this role in the team:

BVNK is seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive candidate to join our Commercial team as the Sales Director - Banking. This role reports directly to the General Manager - Americas in Commercial but will work closely with other functions within the business. This role will encompass all aspects of the sales process; lead generation, relationship building, onboarding, and ongoing account management and client service. The candidate will work closely with the Commercial team to acquire and develop new relationships with relevant clients. You will utilize your extensive network and industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the banking and asset management space, leveraging your network of contacts to generate leads and close deals.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Increase revenue for BVNK across all product lines
  • Acquire and maintain relationships with clients in financial verticals (banks, asset managers and adjacent providers)
  • Be a trusted partner, subject matter expert and deploy a consultative approach.
  • Understand the needs of clients at every stage of their digital asset journey and explain how BVNK adds value at each stage.
  • Work with commercial lead to build and manage pipeline of clients as well as developing the commercial strategy for adequate coverage of targeted verticals
  • Utilize your extensive network and industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network of contacts to generate leads and close deals.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis
  • Be the commercial point of contact for product managers to understand customer pain points, product requests and feedback
  • Actively involved with industry news, conferences, and events and thus being a credible ambassador for the business in all dealing with clients

What we need from you:

  • Experience - 8+ years sales/business development in banking / fintech
  • Knowledge of various risk management functions within a bank with specific focus on AML
  • Experience developing business within banking sectors
  • Track record - successful track record for managing relationships and closing business
  • Experienced in successfully managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Experienced with MEDDIC or similar Sales Methodologies.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
