We are looking for a dependable contract Bank Teller to provide day-to-day support in a busy banking center. This contract role is designed to help maintain smooth branch operations during a staffing gap.

This is a great opportunity for someone with prior teller or strong cashiering experience who can step in quickly, provide professional client service, and support routine banking transactions with accuracy and care.

What You'll Do
  • Process daily teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing
  • Provide courteous and professional service to clients in person and by phone
  • Balance cash drawer activity and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Prepare daily proof records and follow established balancing standards
  • Maintain proper cash levels at teller stations and support vault-related activities as needed
  • Assist with cashier's checks, money orders, official checks, and other standard teller services
  • Support routine client service requests, including account inquiries, address changes, stop payments, check orders, and loan payment assistance
  • Follow banking policies, procedures, cash handling guidelines, and security requirements
  • Assist with opening, closing, night deposits, ATM-related support, and other branch procedures as needed
  • Identify basic client needs and refer clients to the appropriate banking team member
  • Support lobby flow and help ensure clients are greeted and assisted in a timely manner
  • Cross-train or provide backup support for basic personal banking functions when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and escalate more complex questions or issues to the appropriate team member
  • Perform other branch support duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months to 1 year of teller experience strongly preferred
  • 2 or more years of heavy cashiering experience may be considered in place of teller experience
  • Ability to step in quickly with minimal training
  • Strong cash handling, balancing, and transaction accuracy
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-service focused
  • Polite and courteous communication style with clients and team members
  • Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and banking guidelines accurately
  • Comfortable using computers, standard office equipment, and banking-related systems
  • Basic understanding of financial institution policies, procedures, and regulations preferred
  • Ability to resolve routine client questions and escalate more complex matters as needed
