About The Role

As a Bank Intern, you will train in various departments throughout the Bank gaining experience in banking operations and procedures while performing hands-on duties. ย It is intended that the Intern will be responsible for at least one major project or service on a committee during the internship.ย 

Job Duties:

  • Work with immediate supervisor and department representative to develop a personal training schedule based on education, career goals and previous work background.
  • Meet with employees in each department and engages in assigned training or work projects.
  • Learn the bankโ€™s computer systems in order to assist in the processing of customer transactions and to assist bank staff.
  • As training is received, function in the various positions for a period of time using the skills learned.
  • May perform duties as a substitute for an absent employee.
  • May represent the bank in various community and civic functions.
  • Complying with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and information protection
  • Complying with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures
  • Completing and passing all required regulatory compliance training as assigned
  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management

  • Demonstrated excellence in working efficiently as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Strong personal motivation and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Candidates must be open to working on a variety of projects and tasks.

Education, Experience & Licenses:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent college graduate.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
