Primary Purpose:

Market Developers drive ChemPoint's marketing efforts through the sales process by handling all web 
leads and leads from traditional campaigns. Additionally, they assist their respective sales teams through 
technical support directly or via joint calls. 


What You'll Do: 

Receives sales leads from the Lead Gen Team
Contacts individuals who submitted a lead within 2 hours of the initial request
Converts leads into opportunities based on customer engagement
Wins or disqualifies opportunities and codes new business accordingly
Transfers new business to a sales professional for long term account management
Receives sales leads from Product Managers
Makes outbound calls to prospective companies based on provided leads
Converts leads into opportunities based on customer engagement
Wins or disqualifies opportunities and codes new business accordingly
Transfers new business to a sales professional for long term account management
Conducts technical training on products within the assigned industry team
Participates in joint customer calls as requested by the sales team
 
 
 
What You'll Need: 
 
 
Bachelor's degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience is required
2+ years of experience in technical support and direct sales, preferably as a technical sales representative
Strong knowledge and experience working with PCs and Windows operating system, database experience desired
Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel and Dynamics skills 
Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong active listening skills
Excellent consultative selling skills
Experience with customer, lead and opportunity management 
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

This is a role in the Chicagoland area but we are open to considering candidates based in other locations. 

Pay and Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $80,320 - $97,750 annually.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
  • Available employee benefits include health, vision, dental coverage, along with industry-leading retirement and time off programs.
