Objectives:
Provide technical support for integrated manufacturing systems used to manufacture contact lenses. These systems include custom automated production equipment, robots, machine tools, computer systems, vision systems and material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Work as primary engineering and technical support for Contact lens manufacturing.
  • Help large scale issues by being a liaison between maintenance and engineering.
  • Work to ensure proper mechanical setup of major subsystems, performing critical alignments and reteaching as necessary
  • Daily tasks to include floating between production lines and verifying all critical equipment is running at optimum state
  • Help train maintenance technicians on proper alignment and setup procedures as well as root cause analysis of common failures
  • Investigate major quality events and document root causes found to assist quality department
  • Initiate and lead equipment improvement projects as needed

Qualificiations:
  • Bachelors degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Experience using CAD, data analysis programs, and related software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organization and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High level of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical thinker.

  • This position will work a 12-hour night shift schedule, 6 pm to 6 am, which repeats every 2 weeks per the schedule below:

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $65,000.00 and $96,000.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive sick time, floating holidays and paid vacation.
