Description:

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will work with the Manufacturing Manager on the day-to-day manufacturing related activities for all shifts, focusing on the 2nd shift. This position will help support a safe, positive, results oriented work environment that is focused on quality, safety, and on time delivery. The Production Supervisor will oversee all employees on the production floor, including the team leads and operators for the 2nd shift. Hours for this shift are 3pm - 12am.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist in the management of the production schedules to meet customer demand & delivery commitments.

· Supply plant metrics data to Manufacturing Manager.

· 5 Phase training control; manage training process for all new hires.

· Support the operation of production machinery, troubleshooting when needed.

· Work closely with production Team Leads to ensure training and development of the operators.

· Audit operators and production lines to ensure SWI’s are being followed.

· Monitor PDE transactions, ensuring accuracy.

· Assist in tracking and ordering supplies for the manufacturing floor.

· Assist the Manufacturing Manager in driving improvements and initiatives.

· Assist with the delivery on the production plan, monitoring planned versus actual.

· Work closely with other departments to coordinate scheduling, forecasting & purchasing of materials.

· Assist with the management of work orders.

· Jump in and operate machinery when needed.

· Work closely with other departments to promote and maintain a clean & safe work environment.

· Work with Human Resources and Manufacturing Manager on employee accountability.

· Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

· Must be able to speak, read & write in English

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Strong organization & communication skills

· Detailed oriented

· Mechanical Aptitude


Work Environment/ Physical Requirements

· Standard manufacturing floor environment

· Must be able to stand & walk for extended periods

· Must be able to bend, squat, climb, crawl, kneel often

· Must be able to lift and move up to 40lbs independently
