Job Description

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for all B&D Mfg., Inc. sales activities within the assigned region. This individual will establish and maintain relationships with new and current customer data base by delivering consistency of product information and quality customer service. This position reports to the B&D Sales Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of
B&D Mfg., Inc. products and pricing structure to provide best in
class customer support.
2. Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business by various
means including internet searches, cold calls, or other market research
methods.
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity or
as referred by B&D Mfg. Inc. staff.
4. Establish and maintain current client and potential client
relationships.
5. Organize individual plan of action through alternating weekly
schedule of time in office at home and travel arrangements for weeks
spent on the road.
6. Deliver product presentations, proposals, and pricing information to
current and potential wholesale distributor clients.
7. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific sales targets
and to project the general territory contacts to be made. Preparations
shall be submitted to Sales Manager.
8. Maintain assigned client Contact information and meeting notes in the
B&D ACT database.
9. Promptly identify and resolve client concerns which may include the
need to provide trouble shooting and technical support within B&D
Mfg. Inc. guidelines.
10. Manage annual territory sales budget while identifying potential
customer open house or industry trade event opportunities where B&D
Mfg. Inc. products may be displayed.
11. Report to the company Finance Department to account for business
related spending on company credit card.
12. Prepare and submit Sales Activity Reports to Sales Manager within
the defined time frame.
13. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special
developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity
to Sales Manager or appropriate B&D Mfg. Inc. staff.
14. Attend quarterly B&D Mfg. Inc. sales meetings as scheduled.
15. Other duties as may be required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and
product demonstration events.
2. Assist in the collection of late payments as necessary.
3. Maintain company vehicle according to insurance carrier requirements.
Complete monthly vehicle condition forms.
