Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations will help build and operationalize the systems, processes, and standards required to scale Oath's manufacturing activities. This role will work internally across production, quality, supply chain, regulatory, and technical teams and externally with vendors to ensure our processes are well documented, controlled, and ready for reliable execution across internal and external manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing SOPs, work instructions, specifications, and process documentation.
  • Establish and maintain product and raw material specifications and associated documentation.
  • Coordinate preparation and maintenance of SDSs, COAs, COCs, batch records, and release documentation.
  • Support QC and batch release processes, ensuring required testing and documentation are completed prior to release.
  • Drive manufacturing change control and process change management.
  • Coordinate activities across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, shipping, and planning.
  • Support technology transfer and operational readiness with external manufacturing partners and CDMOs.
  • Establish, track, and report manufacturing KPIs, including yield, success rate, quality, throughput, and operational performance.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement systems and processes that improve manufacturing reliability and scalability.
  • Audit Oath vendors for compliance with process and proceduresย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • BS or MS in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in biotechnology, biomanufacturing, fermentation, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with manufacturing documentation, SOPs, specifications, and controlled processes.
  • Experience working across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and technical organizations.
  • Experience working with external manufacturers or CDMOs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GoogleSuite, Excel, Slack and similar tools is a plus

Location: Hybrid, with regular presence at Oath's Vacaville, California site. Ability to travel 20% of the time (Europe & Africa).

Job Type: Full-time, exempt position in the United States. At this time, Oath, Inc. is not able to provide visa sponsorship or work authorization support.

Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000/year + equity
