Join us at the forefront of electrified industrial energy. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to scale production of next-generation commercial and industrial thermal systems, including unfired boilers and steam-generating heat pumps.Â
In this role, you’ll drive manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery performance for complex equipment—leading initiatives across DFMA, production ramp, industrial engineering, and supplier integration. You’ll be a key leader shaping how cutting-edge thermal systems move from design to high-volume production. Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Lead & Scale ManufacturingÂ
- Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing engineering teamÂ
- Define and execute manufacturing strategies aligned to growth and electrificationÂ
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Product, Supply Chain, and OperationsÂ
Drive Product Industrialization (DFMA)Â
- Lead DFMA for boilers, steam systems, and heat pumpsÂ
- Optimize designs for fabrication, assembly, and serviceabilityÂ
- Oversee pilot builds, validation, and manufacturing readinessÂ
Enable Production RampÂ
- Design efficient layouts and production lines for large-scale equipmentÂ
- Implement lean principles (flow, line balancing, cycle time reduction)Â
- Develop capacity models, labor standards, and capital plansÂ
- Stand up and optimize test systems (pressure, thermal, performance)Â
Own Supplier Technical StrategyÂ
- Act as the engineering lead for critical suppliers (heat exchangers, coils, pressure vessels, compressors)Â
- Drive supplier quality and manufacturability (PPAP/APQP, audits, DFMA alignment)Â
- Resolve technical challenges for build-to-print componentsÂ
Build World-Class ProcessesÂ
- Standardize processes (welding, brazing, leak testing, refrigerant handling)Â
- Lead Lean / Six Sigma improvements across yield, throughput, and costÂ
- Establish robust documentation, work instructions, and training systemsÂ
Ensure Quality, Compliance & SafetyÂ
- Maintain compliance with ASME, UL/ETL/CSA, and HVAC standardsÂ
- Partner with Quality on root cause and corrective actionsÂ
- Champion safe practices for high-pressure, high-temperature, and refrigerant systemsÂ
What You BringÂ
RequiredÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering fieldÂ
- 10+ years in manufacturing engineering (thermal systems, HVAC, boilers, or industrial equipment)Â
- 3–5+ years leading engineering teamsÂ
Technical StrengthsÂ
- Deep DFMA experience for thermal/fluid systemsÂ
- Expertise in fabrication processes (welding, brazing, machining, forming)Â
- Experience scaling from pilot to full productionÂ
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer, pressure systems, and electro-mechanical assemblyÂ
Nice to HaveÂ
- ASME pressure vessel manufacturing experienceÂ
- Background in boilers, steam systems, or industrial heat pumpsÂ
- Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt)Â
- ERP/MRP and manufacturing analytics familiarityÂ
Who You AreÂ
- Hands-on leader with strong technical judgmentÂ
- Execution-focused and results-drivenÂ
- Collaborative across functions and suppliersÂ
- Skilled at scaling operations in fast-growing environmentsÂ
- Committed to quality, reliability, and ownershipÂ
Why Join UsÂ
- Shape the future of electrified thermal systemsÂ
- Work on critical infrastructure driving industrial decarbonizationÂ
- Lead manufacturing innovation in a rapidly growing spaceÂ
- Strong growth opportunityÂ
