Job description

Professional Land Surveyor – Lead High-Tech Field Operations for NE Tiny Homes

Job Overview:

  • Company: NE Tiny Homes
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $95,000–$105,000 annually, plus the opportunity to earn up to $20,000 in performance-based bonuses.
  • Location: Providence, RI (supporting projects throughout Foxborough & Taunton, MA) – 90% travel required.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday (Flexible Schedule)
  • Project Scope: Residential Single-Family Homes & Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Surveys
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RPLS) license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island preferred. Licensed Professional Land Surveyors in any U.S. state are encouraged to apply. NE Tiny Homes will provide relocation assistance for qualified candidates and will cover the cost of obtaining Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island licensure (where applicable) for candidates currently licensed in another state.

The Opportunity:

You will lead high-tech field operations, utilizing cutting-edge survey technology to accelerate residential development across the region. This autonomous role allows you to focus purely on high-quality field data collection while a dedicated back-office team handles all drafting and client management. You will directly impact regional housing solutions while enjoying a flexible four-day workweek and premium corporate perks.


How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Execute four to five scheduled site visits per day using high-end survey technology.
  • Perform detailed "As-Is" and "As-Built" surveys for residential sites and home interiors.
  • Upload accurate field data to the back-office team for plan finalization and delivery.
  • Manage daily appointments independently with minimal client interaction required.
  • Complete accurate geographical surveys within your optimized, pre-scheduled service area.
  • Maintain high productivity standards to ensure rapid turnaround times for residential projects.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must hold an active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional land surveying experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with modern survey software and digital data upload workflows.
  • Proven experience executing complete land surveys and precise interior/exterior As-Built plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time to various residential project sites.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience utilizing advanced, high-tech field surveying equipment and digital systems.
  • Strong background in residential property boundaries and zoning regulations.
