Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
As Manager of Selection & Assessment Innovation, you'll support the team's broader selection and assessment portfolio across global markets, taking ownership of specific workstreams and project components, while contributing to our applied research agenda at the intersection of psychometrics, predictive modeling, and emerging AI capabilities. This is a rare opportunity to operate at scale and directly shape how measurement science influences workforce outcomes at one of the world's largest employers.    You'll partner closely with business and people leadership across markets, bringing both methodological rigor and practical judgment to everything from structured interview design to data-informed, technology-enhanced assessment solutions.
About the team:
Walmart’s Global Talent Management Team drives innovation in selection and assessment by integrating advanced AI, data science, and measurement methods. The team leads global initiatives to enhance workforce outcomes through rigorous psychometrics and predictive modeling. As part of this group, you will collaborate with business operations and people leadership to develop and implement innovative talent solutions. The team values methodological rigor and practical judgment, managing complex projects that shape talent strategies across markets. This environment offers a unique opportunity to influence large-scale workforce decisions at one of the world’s leading employers.
What you'll do:
  • Support the design, implementation, and validation of scientifically grounded selection processes, psychometric assessments, situational judgment tests, and multi-measure batteries, rooted in I/O psychology best practices. 
  • Ensure all selection activities meet EEOC/UGESP compliance standards.
  • Contribute to applied research initiatives that leverage AI and data science methodologies to improve the predictive power, efficiency, and fairness of candidate and associate measurement while driving innovation in assessments. 
  • Apply quantitative methods, including regression modeling, IRT, structural equation modeling, NLP, and predictive analytics, to surface insights from assessment data.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR leaders, hiring managers, and external assessment vendors to support the design of solutions while maintaining global standards.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience managing talent development projects, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in talent management, organizational behavior, and industrial and organizational psychology.
  • Ability to analyze business priorities and data to forecast talent needs and develop strategic workforce plans.
  • Proficiency in project management, vendor relationship management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and drive collaboration across functions.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical computing environments (Python, R, or equivalent) and comfort working with large datasets. 
  • Familiarity with AI/NLP applications in talent assessment.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
