Overview

Our organization operates three Cath Labs and one Electrophysiology Lab at Leesburg Hospital. We are on the lookout for an individual who is enthusiastic about enhancing their clinical expertise and values the professional growth that comes from hands-on experience. At Leesburg Hospital, you will encounter a variety of intricate interventional and structural heart cases. Our Providers are passionate about their work and eager to share their insights with the team. This is a supportive Cath Lab environment where teamwork and collaboration are highly valued, equipped with cutting-edge technology and medical devices.

The Director at Leesburg Hospital embodies a servant-leader approach, committed to fostering the success of both the team and the local community. Working here offers the unique opportunity to gain significant experience, as you will be involved in numerous complex cases. The Providers are not only knowledgeable but also enthusiastic about mentoring staff. Our Cath Labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and medical devices.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the guidance of the director or manager, is responsible for overseeing procedures, which include all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies, as well as structural heart procedures. This role also involves acting as a scrub assistant. Additionally, the CVT Charge plays a key role in educating and mentoring students and new hires within the Cath Lab, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe patient care. This is a full-time position with day shifts.

On-call duties are required.

Qualifications
  • Education
    • Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
    • Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, along with:
      • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire) OR
      • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of hire)
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license with a valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
    • Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license with a valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
    • BLS Certification
    • ACLS Certification
