Job description

We are seeking a Strategic Account Director to serve as the principal commercial leader for a premier global provider of safety-certified technology and embedded software ecosystems. In this capacity, you will assume absolute ownership over a portfolio of high-value defense primes and aerospace manufacturers, defining long-term engagement strategies to drive multi-division software licensing agreements. By aligning cross-functional engineering, sales, and executive units, you will ensure our high-assurance development solutions continue to underpin the world's most critical military and airborne embedded applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive multi-million-dollar software toolchain opportunities across primary military branches, aerospace developers, and defense prime contractors.
  • Architect and direct targeted account strategies that address multi-site software tool deployment, embedded system safety verification, and corporate licensing frameworks.
  • Design and execute regional market expansion blueprints, outlining specific account prioritizations, pipeline milestones, and market-share growth curves.
  • Align field-based technical application engineers and marketing resources to properly back complex, high-stakes defense software sales cycles.
  • Supervise localized pipeline progression through structured communication with field account managers while keeping corporate strategy aligned with long-term program trends.
  • Form stable alliances with senior technology officers, engineering directors, procurement professionals, and program management stakeholders.
  • Run end-to-end deal progression, steering opportunity verification, pricing models, intellectual property considerations, and final contract completion.
  • Monitor macro-level defense program cycles, embedded software certification trends, and competitive market developments to capture emerging software needs.
  • Serve as the principal enterprise advocate at high-level customer boardrooms, defense electronics expositions, and technical software panel discussions.
  • Maintain rigorous reporting discipline, supplying data-backed pipeline metrics and executive-level revenue forecasts to the management board.

Core Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Management, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional background managing high-stakes sales or strategic business development inside the aerospace and defense software markets.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue quotas through the sale of complex embedded tools, software libraries, or developer software.
  • Existing technical credibility and strong relationships within major defense primes and adjacent government software procurement ecosystems.
  • Superior communication, corporate presentation, and multi-party negotiation skills tailored for executive-level defense circles.
  • Experience steering multi-disciplinary capture teams, managing internal technical and operational assets to secure complex software contracts.
  • Proven competency in translating highly technical embedded software requirements into actionable enterprise sales campaigns.
  • Expert proficiency utilizing corporate CRM systems to maintain accurate pipeline transparency and high-level forecast integrity.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently across the region to lead client interactions, support embedded programs, and attend industry forums.

If you are a strategic, highly accountable sales professional with a passion for driving execution in high-performance embedded markets, we welcome your application.
