Job description

This is a remote position.

Tax Credit & Rebate Operations Coordinator
Solar Works Energy / EPEX Home Performance · Fully Remote · Temporary Part-Time · $20.00/hour

Solar Works Energy and EPEX Home Performance are looking for an organized, detail-oriented administrative professional to help homeowners complete paperwork for New Mexico energy tax credits and utility rebates.

This is not a tax preparation or tax advisory position. You’ll guide customers through the documentation process, gather required information, prepare application packages, and keep cases moving from start to finish.

Position details

  • Fully remote — must be available during Mountain Time business hours
  • Temporary part-time (approx. 15–20 hours per week)
  • $20.00 per hour · initial 90-day assignment with potential for extension

What you’ll do

  • Review completed projects for tax-credit/rebate readiness; verify documentation for completeness
  • Contact homeowners to collect missing information or documents
  • Prepare, organize, and submit application packets using company procedures
  • Track application status, follow up on outstanding items, and maintain organized records
  • Communicate progress to customers; work with project managers to resolve gaps; help improve processes

What success looks like (first 90 days): an accurate queue of open applications, every case moving toward completion, prompt customer responses, complete packages with minimal errors, and accurate records throughout.

Requirements
  • Loves organization and attention to detail; enjoys solving administrative problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; can juggle multiple cases without losing details
  • Comfortable working independently; professional with confidential customer information
  • Reliable internet, a dedicated home workspace, and availability during Mountain Time business hours
  • A plus: insurance, mortgage/lending, title/escrow, healthcare admin, government/permit processing, utility rebates, construction/home-improvement admin, customer service/operations, or document-heavy admin work

Benefits
  • $20.00/hour, part-time (15–20 hrs/week), fully remote
  • Initial 90-day assignment with potential for extension
  • Support a growing New Mexico home-improvement & solar company

To apply: submit your resume and a brief note covering (1) a role where you managed detailed paperwork or customer records, (2) your experience handling confidential information, and (3) your Mountain Time availability. Selected applicants will complete a short aptitude assessment, sent after you apply.
