Job description


Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Managed Care Rebate Analyst to process Managed Care Commercial, Medicare Part D, Managed Medicaid, and Medical Agreement rebate claims. This role involves analyzing utilization data, interpreting contract language, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to customers. The analyst will leverage systems such as Model N/Flex to maintain rebate programs, support forecasting, and provide insights for contract performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process rebate claims in accordance with contract terms and internal procedures.
  2. Analyze utilization data to determine included/excluded claims and assign rebate percentages.
  3. Initiate payments to customers within contractual guidelines.
  4. Interpret contract language and maintain plans, products, and rebate programs in Model N/Flex.
  5. Provide information to support rebate forecasting, contract performance assessment, and reporting.
  6. Approve outbound rebate claim documents for accuracy and completeness (SOX compliance).
  7. Resolve disputes involving contract interpretation or processing issues.
  8. Track rebate trends, invoice-to-payment variances, and prior period analysis.
  9. Recommend system/process improvements and assist with testing (UAT, regression).
  10. Provide timely information to support rebate forecasting and account dynamics.

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience processing Managed Care Rebates or comparable pharmaceutical manufacturer experience.
  3. At least 2 years of pharmaceutical operational experience (rebates, Medicaid, chargebacks).
  4. Thorough understanding of PBM networks and drug formularies.
  5. Experience with Model N/Flex, Legacy Model N, or Revitas.
  6. Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
  7. Strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)
  1. Experience with SAP or comparable systems.
  2. Broader pharmaceutical reimbursement experience across multiple rebate types.
