In this role, you will help lead the way by ensuring that our benefits programs meet the needs of our clients and associates alike. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Field Enablement, the Program Manager will play a key role in achieving the vision -- Simplify the way we work, make it easier for our associates & clients, gain efficiencies through the process, and deliver experience-based solutions. The successful candidate will help both the business and our partners deliver solutions that align to our strategic pillars and vision.

What you'll do: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:
  • Execute strategic plan defined by senior leadership. Establish, manage, and publish comprehensive project plans.
  • Determine success criteria of overall program. This includes gathering information of client feedback, project team feedback and senior leadership direction.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on all Program deliverables
  • Establish comprehensive cross functional written and verbal communications evaluating Program tasks, milestones, dependencies, issues, and escalations. This includes program meetings, minutes, executive briefings, and issue management tracking.
  • Communicate to all organizations, key stakeholders on overall project milestones, risk, scope and expectations, project integration, budget, and resource allocation
  • Be accountable for meeting project schedule and results, and the quality of the deliverables
  • Manage Program Scope. The Program Manager is ultimately responsible for obtaining approvals on Program scope changes, escalating critical path issues, and resolving team resource conflicts
  • Learn. You will continually upgrade your knowledge and skills on payroll, including federal and state compliance, standard operating procedures, administrative practices, other products, and desktop support tools to develop and maintain your ability to support our clients
  • Organize. You adhere to a daily schedule and organize yourself to deal with a high volume of inbound calls. Daily phone time may increase during peak seasons, like at the close of the year

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements:
  • 5+ years' Project/Program Management experience
  • Experience in managing large project teams across multiple functions in the company.
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to interact all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to align strategic vision to tactical initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making skills.
  • Broad business perspective and understanding.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • 10 -20% of travel

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:
  • Experience noted above, OR

Bonus points for these: Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent Professional Project Management certification
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly complex, leveled, and balanced Project Plans using Workfront, Smartsheets or other comparable Project Management tools.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of products, service, implementation, technical, training, financial and sales organizational operations
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-line product projects
  • Proven track record of maintaining effective Project Team relationships in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Must possess a proven ability to work effectively with an aggressive, demanding client and project teams. Must be able to work well under pressure and have a high tolerance for stress
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse, and conflicting projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and team leadership skills
  • Demonstrated Ability to effectively communicate with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting where project risk is substantial and communication requirements are highly complex
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams in a project-oriented setting where the team is large, geographically dispersed, and may have conflicting priorities and/or goals
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate project risks to successfully meet project objectives
