Job Summary and Qualifications

The Learning Specialist is responsible for designing and developing high-quality learning solutions that support physician leadership development and broader organizational training needs.

Working under the direction of the Manager, Physician Leadership Training Strategy & Design, this role translates defined learning strategies and business requirements into engaging, effective training experiences.

What you will do in this role:
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning content aligned to established learning strategies
  • Translate business requirements and SME input into clear, engaging learning experiences
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and supporting materials (job aids, guides, facilitator resources)
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop scalable, reusable content
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clinical/operational alignment
  • Support training needs analysis to identify skill and performance gaps
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback
  • Provide facilitation support as needed (not a primary responsibility) 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required 
  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning content creation

  • Proficiency with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate)
  • Strong ability to simplify complex clinical or operational concepts into effective learning solutions
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles preferred 
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technologies preferred 
  • Experience using data to evaluate and improve training outcomes preferred
