Lab Operations Specialist – Lab Associate I/II

Manus

Manus works across industries and value chains to accelerate the transition to BioAlternatives – better performing and more sustainable versions of complex molecules traditionally sourced from plants, animals, or fossil fuels. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual for a position that will specialize in laboratory operations at our Augusta BioFacility.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of lab organization to support R&D efficiency.
  • Manage standard operating procedures for lab related preparative work and maintain inventory of reagents, media, and consumables.
  • Oversee and optimize in-house inventory systems for accuracy and organization.
  • Handle lab supply orders, stock management, and vendor relations.
  • Ensure lab equipment is well-maintained and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Improve protocols to enhance efficiency in lab operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience as either a researcher or technician in a laboratory setting (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical, dentistry or pharmacy).
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Skilled in sterile technique and laboratory techniques such as autoclaving and reagent preparation.
  • Leading establishment of new or updated standard operating procedures

  • Must be extremely organized and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a quick learner who is self-motivated and able to ask questions and seek clarity.
