Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Lab Coordinator to manage the scheduling and coordination of laboratory testing for both Research & Development (R&D) and Compliance purposes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple lab requests simultaneously. This role is crucial for ensuring that all R&D and compliance testing is scheduled, tracked, and executed in a timely manner, supporting the overall goals of the laboratory and the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Request Management: Receive and review testing requests from Production and Quality departments, ensuring all necessary information is included and accurate.
Scheduling: Coordinate with multiple laboratory teams to schedule testing, balancing priorities and available resources. Create and maintain a detailed scheduling calendar to track all active and upcoming tests.
Resource Allocation: Ensure that all required resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, are allocated efficiently. Address any resource constraints or conflicts that arise.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between requesting departments and laboratory teams. Communicate testing schedules, status updates, and any changes to relevant stakeholders.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all testing requests, schedules, and results. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control: Monitor the progress of testing to ensure it meets quality standards and deadlines. Address any issues or delays promptly and escalate as necessary.
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to scheduling and coordination processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in laboratory operations.
Compliance: Ensure all testing activities comply with internal protocols and external regulatory requirements. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards.

Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a coordination or scheduling role.
    • Experience in working in the cannabis industry, or alternatively, in a highly regulated CPG/F&B industry
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and scheduling software.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures, quality control practices, and regulatory requirements related to R&D and compliance testing.

Education:
• High or GED required
Required:
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
• Flexible availability for work hours.
• Willingness to work weekends.
