Job description

Title: Engineering Technician

Location: 201 West Queen Street, Southington, CT 06489 United States

Pay rate: $27 to $34/hr on W2.
Position Summary:

Join a leading medical device R&D team supporting new product development and product improvements. Responsibilities include prototype building, product testing, data analysis, test fixture support, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and lab operations. You'll collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot equipment, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 3โ€“5 years of engineering technician experience, OR associateโ€™s degree with 2+ years of experience, OR Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related technical field
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, medical devices, SolidWorks, technical drawings, and Minitab
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, Lean, and Six Sigma concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills

Work Environment:

  • Lab, office, and occasional cleanroom setting
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
