IT Business Analyst

The Opportunity:

You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT Business Analyst, you can develop your skills in both. Here, you'll have the chance to work with an Agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients' most pressing missions. We're looking for someone like you to help propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.

As an IT Business Analyst, you'll work to develop leading-edge SharePoint applications, digital workplaces, collaboration sites, executive dashboards, automated workflows, and modern SharePoint Online solutions. Working with your team of full stack developers, testers, data specialists, and SharePoint or Power Platform engineers, and alongside Program Office SMEs and content strategists, you'll identify clients' business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll guide your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you'll deliver high business value products to users, content owners, distributed teams, and enterprise stakeholders.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, refining, and documenting requirements, including writing features and user stories

  • Experience supporting DoD or DoN Program Management Offices, working with crossfunctional teams, and influencing key stakeholders

  • Experience producing reports, preparing presentations, documenting meeting minutes, and communicating findings to clients

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, and Agile tools such as Jira

  • Knowledge of SharePoint functions and collaboration concepts such as lists, libraries, permissions, or content organization

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of AAF Pathway, functional policies, and guidance

  • Knowledge of contracting strategy types, program planning, budget execution, spend plans, authorization and appropriation, and appropriation accounts or categories

  • Knowledge of DoW and DoN authoritative systems of record such as DAVE, RDAIS, NEPS, PBIS, PIEE, AMS, ASSIST, or AAFDID

  • Knowledge of DoW and DoN financial management policies, regulations, and guidance

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
